"wolf comic page 7" by GWolfG

Wolf wolf wolf wolf wolves wolf wolf GWolfG wolf wolf wolves wolves wolf wolf wolf. Wolves wolf wolf wolves wolf? Wolves!!

It's times like this I wish we had some more specific entry tags, like "characters floating in a featureless void" and "putting small pictures of a character in their speech bubbles to try to make your clusterfuck comic make more sense". This piece unfortunately suffers both of these - as well as a bad case of "talking disembodied wolf heads" syndrome.

Take two of these little caribou-carcass-shaped pills every day and it should clear up.

"Random Wolf Digi Art" by EdwardOokami

MSPaint is a powerful tool - a weapon that, in the wrong hands, could lead to disaster. Wielding it like a pro today is artist EdwardOokami.

Did I say pro?

It's worth mentioning that the artist didn't actually draw the wolf - it's been provided by a fellow DeviantArt member. EdwardOokami is responsible for the 'colouring in' - which means that basically this artist has applied the fill and spraycan tools to someone else's picture and decided it's a job well done.

Adorably, the artist's comment on this piece ends with "No stealing please.." Oh, EdwardOokami, you have nothing to fear. I'm pretty sure you'd have to pay someone actual money to get them to steal this work and claim it as their own.

"coro 1 page 12 part 2" by GDWeed

Today's daily dose of wolf comic comes direct from an inspirational tag-team of artist GDWeed and a copy of MSPaint.

There are two things I love about this comic strip - the first is the angry wolf face at the start. Look at that bad boy! It looks like someone cross-bred a cat with a velociraptor. That's 400 pixels of pure fucking fury coming right at you there, my friend. Are you ready for it?

The second thing I love about this is the dialogue. You look at any wolf comic on DeviantArt and you'll see how wordy these artists usually are - apparently wolves talk like drug-addled mystic prophets. Well not in this comic!

"What's going on?" asks an aqua wolf covered in worms. "Some bullshit!" another wolf replies. This is amazing. It's like the Lock Stock of wolf comics right here.

"wolf for adoption- MONEY" by lauren61396

Hey you! Yeah, you! Are you the laziest fucker on the entire planet? Too lazy to slap some colours onto a picture of a wolf?

Well you're in luck, because if you pay eight dollars to artist lauren61396, they'll do it for you!

That's one hell of an obtrusive watermark right there. It's bigger than the actual character. Unfortunately all the dark colours on wolfy render it practically unreadable, but I guess you've gotta protect your unique lupine creations somehow.

Speaking of the wolf, those are some... odd symbols it's painted onto itself in glowstick goo. Nonspecific swirls, stripes and dots are my favourite tribal patterns - they show you're in touch with nature without having to tediously research any actual patterns or anything. Score!

As a final note, I love that capital MONEY in the title. It looks so commanding. MONEY! I WANT MONEY FOR THIS WOLF. YOU BOY, DO YOU WANT THIS WOLF? MONEY!

"TMS Page Twelve" by Snowwhisper

Today's obligatory majestic wolf comic comes courtesy of artist Snowwhisper. It's titled TMS, which apparently stands for "The Moon's Soul"

I'll give Snowwhisper credit for the fact that they're actually attempting to draw the wolves in this comic, rather than just arranging them out of geometric shapes in MSPaint. Unfortunately points must be deducted since every wolf (or fox? I'm assuming wolves because 99% of comics on DeviantArt are about wolves) would look like exactly the same character if they weren't coloured in.

Except the one at the bottom with the kickin' glamrock hair, of course.

As an extra note, this comic seems to be suffering the same uninspired naming problem as every other wolf comic. Blueflame? When do wolves ever interact with fire? I mean apart from when they're running away from bush-fires or whatever. Maybe the wolf should be called Purplerabbitcorpse, or Greendeershit.

"BBS pg 10" by sonicthewerehog2000

Our final piece today is BBS pg 10 by artist sonicthewerehog2000. It appears to be one page in a running comic called "Blood of the Black Spirits", which is about wolves fighting.

Rather square-headed wolves, one has to admit. MSPaint has not been kind to these creatures.

The scene in this particular page is as confusing as it is dramatic; two wolves seem to be rolling around in a non-specific brown environment until one bites the other and feasts on the delicious raspberry sauce inside. A jumble of multicoloured faceless wolf-puppies seem to be present also, as well as a dead (or unconscious) grey wolf who is referred to as "Moonwish".

If one was to pick bones with this comic the naming process would definitely be something to bring attention to. Moonwish? Moondust? Apparently the baby wolves' names are just as majestic also. Blacksoul? Lightstep? It's like the artist thought up a lot of words that sounded vaguely magical and dramatic and slapped them together. You never find a comic where the wolves have normal names. Except Sawdust - that sounds less majestic and more like what you'd name a pet guinea pig.

In fact, while we're picking the bones apart like the pack of hungry multicoloured mspaint wolves we are, why does every single dramatic wolf comic have a showdown in a cave where the good wolf has to protect puppies from the bad wolf? It's like the wolf comic equivalent of a Wilhelm scream.

"WQ Chapter 3 page 1" by LilLadyXtraordinaire

Welcome to "The front page of DeviantArt", a daily adventure into the magic and artistry that can be found in the newest uploads to the popular internet art showcase DeviantArt. Every image we use links back to the original piece, so if you want to see something in all its glory just click the image.

Our first piece today is WQ Chapter 3 page 1 by artist LilLadyXtraordinaire. The WQ, I think, stands for "Wolf Quest" - which is the MMO Miss Xtraordinaire takes screenshots of to create her works.

I'm immediately troubled by the lack of pupils on the wolf in the last panel. The thick black eyeshadow suggests that MSPaint was cleverly employed, but for what end I can't figure out. Is the wolf posessed? Dead? It can't be dead, it's clearly talking in bold, misspelled english. "Thank you so mutch" indeed.

I can't say I'm fond of the art direction here. The stretched and skewed screencaps of 3d wolves staring with their cold, dead eyes gives the impression that the entire thing is being acted out by stuffed wolf corpses being pushed about on little carts.

(As a note, Ms. Xtraordinare makes mention in the description of this page that "you're wolf can be in the comic! Yust upload your wolf on Da with in the Artist's Comments: the stats of your wolf! this is specail offer is until page 5 is uploaded of this chapter". Better hurry to get in on the action, I guess)
