"ANTHRO KimmyKat Matryoshka" by xxMidnightTigerxx

Our latest piece is by artist xxMidnightTigerxx, and apparently features a character named Kimmy.

I'LL BITE OFF YOUR COCK

Holy shit. Well. I mean, let's be honest - that's the face of a rapist right there. Two of them, in fact, if you notice the creepy look the hood of her jacket is giving to you.

It's difficult to get along to subjects like the oversized head or invisible hands or muscular neck because every time I catch the gaze of those eyes I freeze like a deer on a highway. Jesus, I need to go and lie down.

"ArchibkuroXTaeyddi Very Much" by TheGreedGirl

Holy shit you guys! I just learned how to use the airbrush tool! I need to use this thing as much as possible so I can become the airbrush master!

Shit, now I've overdone it and everyone looks like creepy glass statues. That was not my original intention! Oh well, I guess I'll stick it on DeviantArt.

This image is horrible, I don't care who argues. God could try to defend this shit and I would disagree. I can barely tell what the fuck is going on through all the white, it's like two otters covered themselves in paint and then rolled in cocaine.

"Heriberto Banuelos" by Sonic432

Sonic fan-art getting too samey? Sick of everyone having the same little round body and rubbery arms and giant conjoined eyes? Artist Sonic432 has the answer for you!

Everything about this is a mess, from giant head to wrinkly arms. Look at those disgusting shoulders. What the hell is going on with that chest? And that's some nice effort spent on the background, too.

"Hazuki" by xXUnknownXKittenXx

Japanese kawiiii anime imitation bullshit doesn't fly with me, and here we have a great pre-Wright Brothers example.

So they tried to combine all the formula ingredients- big eyes, overly shiney hair, slight animal characteristics and thought the best way to make the impact more... impacty (?) was to draw the whole thing out in thick blue lines in MS Paint before putting it somewhere where a gradient too, exists. But not before saving it in a lovely image compression format, probably a jpeg. See the nicke, white jaggies round the lines? Good.

Why are there giant eyes behind its head?
Why is one eye trapped in some kind of cage?
Has the other been gouged out?
Background?

"Writers Block page 7" by midnighteevee13

In this next piece, artist midnighteevee13 goes on an emotional and spiritual journey into what it truly means to be the author and creator of a comic on the internet.

Miss, are you sure you're ready to be starting your own comic? Your grasp of the human form seems tentative at most. Look at those huge rubbery arms - if she clasped her fingers together she could use them as a catapult to siege forts.

Speaking of the lady herself, check out that thought pattern there. I've been trying for a couple of minutes to guess what happened in the last page without looking, but I have literally no idea. Something about a trip to IKEA, and not wanting to go?

Why wouldn't you want to go to IKEA? The place is a blast!

"My Black Dahlia" by Guilt-Na-Zan

Why do people love having abusive partners? Or at lest somewhat put them in the spotlight the whole time?

This artist really, really likes their gradiants.

This image is definitely a check-list production for the Emo catagory.
Beanie cap... check
Under eye black... check
Headphones... check
Song lyrics in comment... check
Crying blood... check check check.

Looks like a penis hanging from his eye...

"Don'tcha wanna squeeze'im?" by draysonite

October really does seem to be bringing out the more haunting of the DeviantArt beasties, an example of which we can see in this next piece by artist draysonite.

Some sort of fiendish transformation seems to be happening here. A wizard has cursed this poor boy to live out the rest of his days as a teddy-bear amputee. Or maybe this is a college prank?

"Hey Tom," says Hank, "you know our amputee roomate, Bill? I have a great idea for a prank. What if one day we stick some ears and face-paint on him and make him think he's transformed into a creepy man-bear?"

Though the weirdest - THE weirdest thing about this situation is the artist's comment. It ignores the picture altogether, choosing instead to give students advice on time management.

"Adjusting to dormitory life can be difficult," it reads, "The newly discovered freedoms are wondrous indeed. Watch what you want t," o watch. Hang out with whomever you wish to hang out with. And how wonderful to not be yelled at if you don't get out of bed on time.

BUT

With that freedom comes a sort of lonely responsibility. You are now in charge of getting yourself up. You're supposed to monitor your leisure time. And you're not supposed to hang out with just anyone. People can bring you down, you know, bad influences and all that.

SO

Let this be a word of warning. Skipping classes to sleep in because you and your friends feel more comfortable being night-owls is bound to be detrimental. Trust me, this is for your own good.

And, in the future, if you avoid signing up for classes that happen before noon this wouldn't even be an issue."

Are you guys feeling uneasy too?

"hunting season" by Geeky-Me

Halloween's coming up soon, isn't it? I guess we should start getting into the spirit by showing you some creepy shit. Fortunately there are artists on DeviantArt always willing to provide nightmare fuel, and today's giver is artist Geeky-Me.

There's no real explanation in the artist's comment for this one - just the words "hunting season" with no punctuation or anything. As an educated guess I'd say we're meant to think that the cat-goblin is the one hunting the dead-eyed porcelain corpse, but I really don't know. Maybe the haunted child is just playing innocent before it spins its head around and unleases a shriek high-pitched and powerful enough to shatter the scary cat's organs into gooey pieces.

That cat has the face of a rapist who has never been brought to justice. Look at the menevolent delight in his eyes. Can you imagine having that fucking thing somewhere in your house? You'd wake up to find it towering over you, mid-way through the act of coaxing a spider out of a matchbox and into your mouth.

Creepy.

"SonAmy- The End Sonadow" by art-is-my-life-98

HOLY SHIT

I mean... that's... nice.

What the hell would you say if you found out your kid drew this. "Hey sweetie what are you drawing? Oh, a cute little hedgehog from a videogame you like? And she's committed suicide because the hedgehog boy she likes doesn't like her back? That's..."

Honestly the fact that someone drew this is creepier than the image itself. How do you come to the conclusion that the best way to spend half an hour is to draw a Sonic the Hedgehog character committing spontaneous suicide? Just play a videogame or something buddy!

Preferrably not a Sonic one.

"...forever" by jackandjill-ibejill

Welcome to "The front page of DeviantArt", a daily adventure into the magic and artistry that can be found in the newest uploads to the popular internet art showcase DeviantArt. Every image we use links back to the original piece, so if you want to see something in all its glory just click the image.

Since it's the start of the blog, we're doing a couple of entries today. Our second piece is the artistically titled ...forever by jackandjill-ibejill.

I gotta say I was a little thrown by this one. Upon perusal it appears to be a smiling man having a conversation with a shrivelled, crying corpse head attached to his shoulder.

However, after checking the artist's comment it appears that this is actually a portrait of characters Violet (from Pixar movie The Incredibles) and Wilbur (from Disney movie Meet the Robinsons). It is also, apparently, "a scene from a fanfic i'm working on..." Sounds like it'll be a great thriller.

"No," Wilbur groaned, clutching his shoulder as it throbbed with a spike of burning hot pain, "I won't let you control me again! Get out of me!" He felt the facial features forming beneath his tense palm - the round, bulging eye peeking beneath his fingers. "Stay with meeeeee..."

"WQ Chapter 3 page 1" by LilLadyXtraordinaire

Welcome to "The front page of DeviantArt", a daily adventure into the magic and artistry that can be found in the newest uploads to the popular internet art showcase DeviantArt. Every image we use links back to the original piece, so if you want to see something in all its glory just click the image.

Our first piece today is WQ Chapter 3 page 1 by artist LilLadyXtraordinaire. The WQ, I think, stands for "Wolf Quest" - which is the MMO Miss Xtraordinaire takes screenshots of to create her works.

I'm immediately troubled by the lack of pupils on the wolf in the last panel. The thick black eyeshadow suggests that MSPaint was cleverly employed, but for what end I can't figure out. Is the wolf posessed? Dead? It can't be dead, it's clearly talking in bold, misspelled english. "Thank you so mutch" indeed.

I can't say I'm fond of the art direction here. The stretched and skewed screencaps of 3d wolves staring with their cold, dead eyes gives the impression that the entire thing is being acted out by stuffed wolf corpses being pushed about on little carts.

(As a note, Ms. Xtraordinare makes mention in the description of this page that "you're wolf can be in the comic! Yust upload your wolf on Da with in the Artist's Comments: the stats of your wolf! this is specail offer is until page 5 is uploaded of this chapter". Better hurry to get in on the action, I guess)
